Texas in this article inspired me to include a large, all capitals title to emulate the physically large area and connotation that Texas has. Furthermore, the rustic typefaces chosen for the title and subtitle communicate the grittiness of this intense hike. Unlike the rustic headline typeface, the body copy is a classic serif typeface to match the informational tone of this article. Finally, the inclusion of a full image as the background for the text and the highlighted text-wrapped hiker move the eye across the spread without distracting from the text.
